hermit troubles

My LFS is a reef onlly store and they say the same....don't transfer their water into your system. They have a meticulous system and take great care of absolutely everything to a "t". So I am with Grins....don't use someone elses tank water in your tank.

but isn't poking a couple of pen tip holes about the same as drip? the water just barely trickled in that way. and, thanks, i will not trust my lfs water, just to be sure!

It isn't a controlled dip and with the risk of contaminating your display I'd personally rather use a turkey baster every 5 minutes instead.

good idea, thanks everyone! by the way, i also added abuot a doz. snails of varying types, same time, same way. all snails are doin great! are they less affected by whatever killed my hermits?

I added both my snails, crab and shrimp using the drip method. The crab I did for about an hour and the snails for an hour and a half. I had to go somewhere when I was dripping the shrimp so he got about 3 hours of drip . All of them are doing great though.
