Bad lisa.. ;)

But back to the livebearers, I rarely call them killies since they are not a true Killie. They are a full live bearer, but the female does not release all of her fry at one time like a guppy, platy or mollie. But she insteads have them more in different stages of embyo form inside of her. So instead of getting 20 at one time, you will get 1 a day for 20 days. So its more of a essembly line of fry inside of her.
To put them in to perspective in size, is that the male is about the size of a guppy fry and the female is about the size of a male wild guppy. They are very tiny, so keeping a Betta in a tank with these guys would be bad. I keep a betta with guppies but I would hold off on the het idea.

My brother just bought into the hobby with 2 female and 1 male guppy/endler cross (bright yellow body with an iridescent hint of the endler pattern on side) last week. 24 hrs later he had 19 babies with one female to go. would these be ok in a het tank? or are guppies more agressive.
Guppies are not more aggressive than Endlers, they are just larger to my findings. But you could always give it a try. Split up your community and place some in a small tank off to the side. I kept 10 fine in a 2.5 gallon tank for a very long time, placing the extras in another tank to keep the status quo going.
But as stated, the males are about the size of guppy fry, so you have to be care and keep an eye on them. I would probably introduce the hets in first, and then add in any fry you want and then they should be used to the hets by the time they reach adult hood. So less loses that way.

But as feed goes, I give them a nice mix of crushed flakes, with newly hatched brine shrimp. Do water changes every weekend, this will help them breed much faster and stay healthier.

As for your filter, if you keep a fine mesh on the filter, you should be ok. But again, keep an eye on them. and if you start to notice fewer and fewer fish, it could be the filter pull.
