Hex Tanks

What are they good for?

I have the chance to buy a Hex complete setup from a lady for $40.She says its a 35 or 40 gallon but it doesn't look that big to me,but then I don't know.

I thought about using it for feeder fish but would a GF like it better?

Its high but not real wide,figure it might cramp his style.

Does anyone use Hexes and what fish do you keep in them?

I have an 18 gal hex planted...Platys and neons in it...Fits into the living room nicely, but not alot of fish appreciate the verticallity of it...

I have a 65g hex .. I really like it and they look nice in a corner.. they would work great for angel fish or any other tall fish.. I have about a 5 inch Marbled headstander and it loves it in there.. along with a few other fish.. with mine being so tall .. a lil over 5 feet ..it is a lil hard to decorate unless ya got those tongue thingys but over all i really like it and alot of people that come in gow wow like the tank... and for the price you said i would go for it ..

I'm not really looking to add fish.

I was either going to move my Goldfish to it or use it for feeders.
