Thanks guys!! I bought another 50 pound bag of pool sand last night. it's getting bad, the pool guy knows me by name, and exactly what i'm there for. IT's hilarious when he tells other customers that Im buying pool sand for my fish tanks! I hope to have it up on it's stand tonight. Filled with sand and water. then it will be just filtration, lighting, and stocking

Ok, so long time no hear. I FINALLY got my sponge filter in today! What a hassel but after three weeks It's in my tank and running! I also plan on recovering one of my old 20 gallon whisper filters to help out.
Hopefully the tank will by cycled soon, and I'll be ready to get some shrimp

Ok so I built a new hood for the tank with some spare acrylic i had lying around, I got the filter set up and running right, and a few plants in there to make things happier. I need insight from some shrimp owners about plants, for now I have what I had clippings of, so I think those will be good. However I do want to cater to the needs of the shrimp so please let me know if i need to add more plants or get more plants?
