If it is I had my midlife crisis when I was 12 years old. I think the reason you don't see more younger guys riding is the cost. Not that its all that expensive where a vehicle is concerned, but as a toy.......

Based on what you posted above, you must not have looked at the website.

HEHE..Everyone is entitled to their mid-life crisis vehicle of choice. My cousin got a litte yellow convertable for hers and we had a great time! I told my DH that's what I wanted for mine, but I changed my mind and got a SUV instead.

The Harley/Buell dealership is about 1 1/2 mi from our house. The guys in the neighborhood all seem to have Harleys. One couple even got them and ride together. I'm not talking younger people...these folks are upper 40's to 50's. They are where their kids are gone..out of college and they can spend their money on themselves.

I'm wondering if this will be my nest bike! :D

Joe,

Those have been in the motorcycle press for the past two year. Any news or release date on them?? I was just at the Suzuki shop yesterday with my son. I will eventually end up on a Hayabusa. The Buell was just a warm up. The V8 bikes are cool but not for everyday riding. I babysat a Busa for a freind last summer and fell in love with it. I fit just right on them and they do everything so well ;) Just gotta sell a few extra knives this spring!!!

Hayas are sick!! I need one, but I'm too small and scared to smash on the freeway. But I'm happy with what I have right now. When summer comes I think I might get a gixxer 1000. I'm getting alittle tired of yamis.

Here's a couple of old pics of the r1.

Hayabusa's are scary bikes. The guy who painted my husband's last bike wrecked on one--he was doing well over 100 when he left the road. The largest piece of the bike they found was smaller than his helmet. He survived the wreck--no clue how--and was back on a new one before the last cast came off. He'd removed the rev-limiter, and made several modifications.

My husband is selling his 1800--he just doesn't get to ride it enough right now. Less than 3,000 miles, 2 years old, red...Anyone interested? :)

I wouldn't have considered a bike like the Busa 20 years ago. I would have been a statistic in no time. These days, my riding is MUCH less aggressive. I take it very easy. Lots of people set up the Busa's as more of a touring bike. That's what I'm going to do, no stoppies or 5th gear wheelies :) I'd be much more likely to get crazy on my Buell and I behave on that as well.

OG,

What Brand is it?? A Honda VTX???

Yep, it's a VTX. Sorry--I've always just called it the 1800.

The guy who wrecked is in his 60's. :D

When you mentioned an 1800 and being red I just thought of the VTX. One of my best friends has one. It will move my BUTT along real well but I'm just not ready for a cruiser just yet. Part of that mid life crisis theory ;)
