If you have ever been in the Des Moines area, there is a great lfs on 6th and Euclid called "aqualand", they have a vast array of fish species, and the staff is very smart and helpfull. I get all my fish from there. The tanks may not look pretty, like the other lfs, I mean like no big covers or nice gravel, but they get the job done. I've bought 4 fish from them, none of them have died. I just recently found this store, but I will never go anywhere else. It is also the only place I can find crown-tailed bettas, great fish, if only I had room.
