2 of my fish are just sitting still at the bottom of the tank and not very active after the about 25% water change???? do i need to worry??
the other one seems to be a little active...
hilldaddy71

They might be slightly stressed from the water change...what kind of fish are they?

okay no under water filter i have the whisper 30-60 advanced from wally.
now whats the best way to get the 1 inch of rocks out and how often should i vaccum them?

There are actually a lot of fish that rest on the bottom of the tank when they sleep...clown loaches will even lay on there sides, which freaks people out when they first see it ..they think they are dead! As far as the gravel goes, just scoop some out with a plastic cup or the like. I like using a Python water changer, especially with a lot of tanks to keep up! 20% every other week at least is a general rule of thumb...do more if you have alot of fish, or grow out tanks, etc. I personally do at least 50% every week, but I have a lot of stock and breeder tanks...Good luck to you Hilldaddy, and feel free to ask any questions...there is a wealth of information on Aquaria Central and a lot of good folks that are willing to help! Take care!

Thank's for all the help i will take all your advice.
how often to vaccum gravel..
thx again. would about 9 fish be toomany for a 29 gallon?

i depends on wahy kind of fish you are going to keep, because if you mean neons, by all means keep them, but if you mean Pacus, im going to say DEFINETLY not

If you are talking 9, 2-3 inch (when full grown) peaceful community fish, I think that would be fine
