Hey everyone... I am somewhat new to all this stuff, and soon i was thinking about setting up my 20l. The thing i really have trouble finding out is the proper ph levels and such. I know that i have to cycle my tank, and i just want to know what the proper levels are...(more questions to come)

THANKS!!!
Paint:)

ah ok, well i need to see what fish i should get/and or hold in my tank. Do you know where i could obtain this information about what fish i could hold?? Thanks!

You could test the water you are going to use for the tank(typically tap) then go from there.

I would suggest a trip through some local fish stores so you can see some. Go through these stores and ask the same questions at each. Don't tell either you have different information, it only starts a flame war. Once you have actually seen something you like come back and ask advice BEFORE you get them. We will help all we can. It is better to find something you like and see if it's a good stock rather than to be heartbroken that we advise against a particular fish that you have already purchased.

Now is the time to set up the tank and start the cycle process.

Ok! Thanks guys! I am going to the local petshop soon, and when I see some fish I like, I'll come back and post.

I would not worry about the ph.

If you need to lower you can add driftwood.

If you need to raise it you can add coral or other rocks.

Fish will adjust. They might not breed, but that is not such a bad thing. ph swings are real bad for fish.

I would look at what kind of fish you like and then see what will get along and what will fit in your 20L.

The 20L is a cool size.

What kind of filter do you have? Any substrate yet? Plants?

That is a pretty cool lil filter dont know nothing bout it though. Substrate ive heard is really good but this will very between person to person. Your CO2 system isnt a system its a replacement part. Double check it =)
