I have two tanks.. a 20 gallon long and a 5 gallon. The 20 gallon is a community tank.. I have danios, tetras, cories and a few guppy fry along with a bamboo shrimp. My 5 gallon was my shrimp/betta planted tank but ever since my betta died and most of my plants fizzled away from snails and algae I have yet to do the huge recovery cleaning that it needs.
It is empty but still running.
I'll be getting a new betta once the 5 gallon is pristine again. I've just been way too busy to even feel like scrubbing it out and playing snail smasher.
