Hi and help

We have just started our Salt water tank and have live rock. We have no idea what these little tube things are. They grow straight up and are gold in color to from the rock up and the last little bit is clear. They seem to be growing. Can anyone help us.

looks like a type of encrusting algae but could be hydroids hard to tell really.

Does anything come out of the end that is sticking up? It could be a fan worm.

From what I can tell nothing is coming out of it, unless it does at night. But they do apear to be growing. The clear part at the end is getting bigger..

might be hydroids then if there is a white clear part.
