Hi, this is my first post so I thought I would tell you a little about myself. I am 50 yrs of age, female and I love African Cichlids. I currently work in a pet store as a "aquatics specialist" that alone should give everyone an idea of who I work for, so please don't hate me until you know me LOL.All joking aside I have set my sights on becoming the most well informed aquatics specialist that I can be. I am lucky in one respect that I grew up in a aquarium shop so that starting at age 6 I started learning and working in the hobby. I was bagging fish and cleaning tanks from the beginning. So I have been active in the hobby for 44 years. My choice of fish for my own home are African Cichlids, it was after a lot of experience and thought that I settled on the Malawi group with both hap and mbuna tanks and some tetras thrown in for target fish. I can see by reading some posts that there are a lot of knowledgable people on the forums and am looking forward to learning all I can from everyone here.
