Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I have three fresh water tanks currently:
75g planted community tank that contains: 1 pair Boesemani Rainbows, 1 pair Turquoise Rainbows, 1 Australian Rainbow, 1 pair unidentified Rainbows, 1 single unidentified Rainbow, 6 Buenos Aires Tetras, 2 Black Skirt Tetras, 2 Serpae Tetras, 4 Neon Tetras, 2 Pictus cats, 2 Yoyo Loaches, 2 Clown Loaches & 1 unidentified black & yellow striped loach), 2 small Redtail Leopard Plecos, 1 Sterba's Cory Cat, 1 Synodontis eupterus, 1 Platydoras costatus "talking" catfish (haven't seen him in about two weeks), & 2 guppies.
12g lightly planted Eclipse tank: 2 Opaline Gouramis, 3 Pearl Gouramis, 1 Gold Gourami, 1 Angel, 3 Peppered Cory Cats, 1 False Julii Cory Cat, and 1 neon tetra.
6g Eclipse hex: Two small African Cichlids.
I am here to learn more about keeping planted tanks and how to keep my fish healthy and happy. When I was a kid, I kept Oscars and I had a beautiful 50 gallon community tank in my dorm room at college. I got back into fish keeping after 15 years, last summer because I thougth it would be something I could share with my kids. I also remembered how nice it was to veg out infront of my tank in college.
My current favorites are my loaches, rainbows, and gouramis.
I hope to find information to help me identify the rest of my fish and possibly start a small saltwater reef tank at some time in the future.
Thanks,
