Hi everyone,

I am starting a 55 gallon tank with Cichlids. The tank was given to me. The tank was used to house a turtle.

Tank currently has sand. Can I just use the sand instead of gravel/rocks for the base.

I have buttikofferi to transfer from a 30 gallon to the 55. Want to add more fish but not sure. Buttikofferi kills everything. Love the attitude though.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hey buddy. Gota love those freebies. Gota love that uber agressive solo fish everyone seems to have had at one point in their hobby. I've curentyl got mine, a 10" oscar, only tolerates my 12" pleco, anything else gets eaten or beat to a pulp.
