hi,im new here

How much are you feeding the little guys? I figure with the bio load it shouldn't be that quick to get back to 30 nitrates. At least you know your bacteria are doing thier job

i do overfeed,i like to make sure they all get some,i know its not great for the tank, but thats why i do very big water changes. its like a blur of colour as soon as the flake hits the water lol!

oh and i figured teh bio-load was quite high with the now 30 fish in there with the extra cory from the horror tank, they sure do poop a lot, trust me its like a carpet when i do the pwc and gravel vac, 30 little butts pooping several times a day,im not that surprised it increases so much, its never been above 30 nitrates so i figure its all good ;-)

my nitrite levels are 0, as are ammonia. its my nitrate levels that creep up quite quickly over the week.

Which really is normal...as long as you keep on your WC routine, you should be fine. My nitrAtes were always around 10-20 from the jump.

some pics of my tropical tank :) quality isnt very good as i had to take them on my phone, but you get the idea of the colours and hectic chaos of the tank lol :grinyes:
the first pic is our dragon guppy, hes so beautiful.

That is a very pretty tank. Interesting that the neons are swimming all over the tank. Quite a display of color there.

Looks very nice!!

lol no the guppys most certainly wouldnt like some girlfriends, well, they probably would, but it aint happening! i think the neons swim all over the tank as there is no threat to them, and they know it, sometimes in the evening they will all school together tightly and swim from one side of the tank to the other over and over again, its very hypnotic to watch.

Very nice shots! Sounds like you have everything under control. Good job!
