hi, im new to this forum, ive had a tank for about 3 weeks , its a 10g. i have read the stickys on cycling and cycled with two gold fish and i added my friends filter garbage into the tank. i just wanted to introduce myself, im sure im going to have alot of questions, you guys are right, you do get addicted very quickly, if you have any suggestions for stocking on my tank as i am looking for small tetras and such, it will be appreciated :dance

Welcome! Do you have a heater in your tank? You seem to know some things, and seem to be responsible with your research, as with reading up on cycling! Good luck!

i have a 50w heater that hangs over the back im not sure what type i have a whisper power filter 10, i know, i am going to upgrade in a few weeks, i just dont have the $$ right now

Upgrade what? The heater is more than fine (5watts per gallon). The filter I do not know anything about since I use bio wheel mini on my 10 ( when it was up)

Welcome........Little 10 filters are fine for a 10. save your $$$ for that new 55, 100, 200 gallon (more? yes more!!!!) you will be wanting soon.

Whisper power filters are a fine product,i have a whisper 60 on my 55 gal and it keeps my water crystal clear.
