Hi everyone. I'm the new "mother" of two fiddler crabs and have a question about their inactivity. I thought they were supposed to be pretty feisty but these curl up in the sand under rocks most of the day and evening. Not much eating either. Could it be too cold in their tank? If not, any ideas? Thanks!! :help:

Welcome to AC. Wish I could help you out on the fiddler crabs but no clue never had them. Try posting in the Freshwater Invertebrates forum might get more help there.

Hi! Is your water Brackish? In the long run It will be necessary if you want them to live longer than 2 weeks... Run down to your local pet store and buy a salinity/gravity tester. And a small bag of ocean salt (not the aquarium salt it wont give the real effect).
Make sure the tester is in the range of 1.005- 1.010
Good luck! :)
