My CC starfish wasn't doing good for a while. I had posted about it, emailed wwm and they said that he was probably dieing etc.. Well, he has been rejuvenated. His white spot is gone, still missing the two chips, but no longer curling his legs up and stuff. I"m really proud of myself to be honest. Anyway, my husband tells me this morning that the ccs is gone. Can't find him anywhere. Has searched the tank, behind it, the filters, everywhere. I was so upset, I mean, could the crabs and shrimp have eaten him that fast? So when I got home we gather together the search crew lol.. He was in my ship at the top where nobody saw him. This starfish has never once left the glass of the tank at all.. Never and all of a sudden he has decided to explore. I'm hoping he will come out now and roam the rest of the tank, it would be nice to see him elsewhere besides the glass.

I have CC star and it's quite mobile. I never see him in the same spot twice. Sometimes I'll find him folded up, buried in a crevasse in the coral after a brief search. My coris wrasse likes to follow him around and torment him when he's moving across the sand.

Piglet try spot feeding him a little. If you feed it on the sand it will be more likley to hang out there. Also what's your water flow like it might be hanging out on the glass to get a little more o2. Glad it's doing better

I do spot feed him but on the glass. I started feeding him tube worms and we did a small water change and he just got much better. I'm glad because the only thing I've lost in the tank are turbo snails. Everything else is thriving so far. Should I put the food on the bottom and place him on top of it? I know they say not to remove them from the glass, so I dont' want to hurt him but I"d like to see him move around a bit more. I have 2 aquaclear 110 filters running.

Yep, chocolate chip starfish. He didn't get the snail we had, he just died. We do have 2 missing hitchhikers though lol.. Hopefully they will show back up. I target feed him pretty regularly hopeing to keep him happy.

I have 2 CC's one ,Nestles, I usually see all the time he loves to wander the glass and rocks the other ,Hershey, I only see about three of four days a week and he seems to like the dark places in the tank. I also have tons of snails and have never seen either on these guys try to eat them. Although I think my brittle star has. :D
