I have been feeding this 5 times a day to my molly fry. They seem to eat it and are growing well. Is this good fry food ? Anyone have suggestions?

I have not tried that one, but as for hikari in general it is certainly a fave amongst my inhabitants. I feed my fry a varied diet with crushed or ground flake, and tubifex, bloodworm etc.

I saw many good recommendations for that when figuring what to feed my goldfish fry. I've been using First Bites now for about 2 weeks. They're still eating, pooping, and growing.. so I'm happy with it. I had hoped to find liquid fry food for their first few days, but no one sells the liquid stuff locally. So I was relieved the fry actually ate it after they'd used up their yolk sacs. I knew I didn't want to mess with mushed up hard boiled egg yolk as a last resort before they got big enough to munch down on brine shrimplets. (I'm also hatching BBS for them, so they're getting both those as I harvest some plus more First Bites in between.) Haven't added in any crushed flake food. That would probably be okay, too.. I've read others use that successfully. It just doesn't seem rich enough (to me) for the babies.

this is great stuff that liquid fry food dosent have all the nutrision hikari does at least the liquid i had,.. so imo its great all i use,..

They seem to like it. I heard to feed 5 times a day is this ok ??

Our guppy fries eat well and grow.

I don't know. I feel five times a day seem to be bit too much.
It maybe depends on how much you are feeding. :)
We feed crushed flakes in the morning and Hikari first bites for dinner.
I might feed more often. But I don't want to make too much waste in the guppy fry tank.

Yeah I agree. Its a bare bottom tank so I see the waste. Its usually just a matter of a quick vacuum. Plus it has a filter that is cycled from big fish so it can easily handle their bio load. :)

Fry will eat anything you give them (fry bites, powdered flakes, frozen brine shrimp, etc..). You are doing a fine job with your fry. I personally mix things up a bit (one day fry bites, next day flake) to give them variety.

If you can keep your tank clean and still feed the fry 5X/day, I say go ahead. Fry will grow faster with more feedings. I find that molly fry would eat until they just about explode! I have a few I'm growing out and they are in a planted tank so although I'm only feeding the tank 2-3X/day, they peck at the plants and plant roots and through the gravel all day long. They even peck at the zucchini I have in there for the young plecos!

I am using First Bites and something new (for me) that is working out very well: Ocean Nutrition Instant Baby Brine Shrimp. You have to refrigerate the jar once its opened. I have been giving my baby Angel fry the brine shrimps three times per day with two feedings of the Hikari First Bites. I cannot see anything bad from this feeding schedule--still LOTS of fry swimming around! It was kind of expensive--but I didn't have time to hatch my own and decided to try this stuff out. I gotta say--I really like it!
