Hey guys i was moving my live rock around and found what looks like a clam or bivalve of some kind. I dont know what it is but its alive, it has a shell, it looks like a clam or something, and it is attached to the rock i think. Its got a brown shell with a small white or silvery area at the joint...like almost every clam so I don’t know if that description will help at all :P anyway it looks like a small clam maybe 4 millimeters long cant say for sure.

Any ideas what it might be and if its harmful?

not with out a pic and no it's not harmfull it's a filter feeder it would like live phyto and marine snow. Be careful when you set up your next tank watch for them sometimes they can move l.r. around and cause a tank quake.
