So I'm running DIY Co2, and seem to be having problems. BK was a lot of help, and told me exactly how he set his up - which seemed to work, kinda.
I'm only getting 20-30 bubbles per minute. Any ideas how to get more out of it?
Also, since I'm running a HOB - the outlet of course is falling into the tank, causing some surface agitation. Has anyone ever figured out a way to have the water "slide" down a ramp or whatever, into the water - instead of just falling.
I can't seem to think of any ideas - and after 3 days now, I really haven't seen a lot of growth.
Any help at this point is appreciated. I'm really starting to become discouraged from planted tanks because after trying 4 or 5 batches of DIY CO2, I can't seem to get what I'm looking for.
Recipe followed:
-2c sugar mixed with warm water.
-Take that mixture, put in shot glass, add 1/4tsp of yeast - mix & wait 10 minutes to activate.
-Mix yeast/sugar with bottle
-Attach to CO2 reactor
I will go pressurized as soon as my student loan refund gets back, but in the meantime - I'm just trying to get this to work.
Thanks guys/gals
