My situation is that the HOB i had on my 5gal hospital tank crapped out and the motor burned. I tried to salvage it, but it was toasted. It was a Cascade, but i forget what model. Said it was rated for up to 20g.
Anyhoo...all i have on there now is a POS Tetra HOB that spits all over and i just can't rely on it long term.
I'm looking to spend no more than $20 shipped for a perfect working order HOB filter, preferably a model that still has readily available media.
The one caveat is that it can't be a noisy model or my wife will complain about it and that would suck because she likes the aquarium now it's doing well.
If local to the Edison, NJ area will trade for all my Mickey Mouse platys (5 in various stages of growth), some plant cuttings, and as many MTS as you can carry.
