i have had an oscar now for a year, he is now 9" long and it looks like he has a hole in the head, well he has like a crater forming. What is the news about hole in the head, is my fish going to die soon, in a while? I know nothing about hole in the head, any info would be sweet. Thanks DAN

I would definitely start with some water changes. Hole-in-the head is treatable, but better water conditions will only help.
In the meantime, what are your water parameters? How large a tank is this fish in? What is the filtration? How often do you do water changes and how large are they? What are you feeding? All of these questions may have bearings on your problem.
