Holy nitrite spike batman!!!!

The nitrites level in my tank is out of control!!! Should I do small water changes every day or large ones?? I am surprised my rams are still alive, they must be tuff little suckers. Please advise!!!! :help:

50%-70% water changes daily or 2 times daily, get that ammonia level down to 0.

Edit: I meant to say nitrites :duh: , but get the ammonia down too.

levels as of last night.

ammonia 0.6, pH 7.8, nitrates 110, nitrites 5. have done 2 water changes since these levels. Will check levels again soon.

Looks like your nitrates are "out of control" too. Keep doing those water changes.

Is this a newly set up tank, or has it been running for a while?

it has been running for about 2 months. just added fish about a week ago. Everything was fine until a couple days ago

Is the even possible? You fish should be long dead. What kind of test are you using?
