Is this natural? This would be the new roots growing in? So i could trim this off and plant it or i should say attach it to the wood? These just started developing on tips of leaves.
 
yeah... its natural:D
i trimed mine off, and planted them somewhere else in my tank!
 
Hey, if you don't want them, I'll take them!!
 
Let the plantlets grow to about 1/3 the size of the mother plant then trim them off and do what you want with them.
 
LOL..I have a tank loaded with lace java fern that has about 100 plantlets on it now...
it is very natural..
 
Yes those are plantlets but the red stuff on the roots would be BBA which is a type of algae and it's gotten pretty bad by the looks of it.

That link only works for members. I don't think it's BBA, it just looks like the roots and those fine hairs that protrude off of them have caught a lot of the debris in the water. Mine also look like that. It's probably the camera that makes it look so exaggerated.
