I have seen snip-its of information on homemade food recipes...

What is a good mixture of ingredients for food for clownfish...

Mine won't eat freeze dried mysis or pellets...

Also, i have read that people freeze their "concoctions"... do you then take one out and let it thaw and then just pour it on the surface?? So far most of my food has been sucked into the overflow before the fish can get to it... Is there a secret to feeding fish?? It can't be that hard lol...

All i simply ever used was various different foods from my local fish monger like clam, scollops, squid, silver side, krill, some nori....all chopped up, add a dash of garlic (i used fresh garlic and blended to a paste), put all this into some ice-cube trays, slam it in the freezer....job done.

To defrost, simply put some tank water in a tub or bowl, plonk in some frozen mixture to defrost...Then all i did was suck from the bowl and squirt into the tank. Also target feed aswell...I always enjoyed hand feeding my clowns aswell, as they could eat the meaty chunks direct form you fingers....

its certainly no secret, there are no "secret" mixtures or methods...food is food.

Thats about as easy as it gets....Its also very cheap and lasts for ages....

also you can add selcon and other vitamin suppliments to the mix before freezing. i don't do cubes though... i think it is easier to spread the mixture onto wax paper in a thin layer. once it is half way frozen i will cut it into little bars and store each bar in freezer bags. when it is time to feed i just break off a piece and thaw it in a cup of tank water.
