The past few days I have noticed a male and female hanging out at the top of the tank in a calm spot where the tubes for my xp2 are. What does spawning behavior look like in honey gouramis?
A bubble nest is a sure-fire sign that it's about to happen. Dim the lights and put on some Barry White.
Otherwise, they probably just prefer the calmer water there.
The female will look like she swallowed a marble and the male starts to build a bubble nest. Best if there is very little or no surface water-movement. They are not "REALLY" difficult to breed, just difficult to raise/feed the babies.
