Hornwort plant help

I have a couple of hornwort plants in a 10gal tank, and I use a liquid plant food that I put in each week, although the plants seem to be dying. Some of the stalks are turning brown, and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

what kind of lighting do you have over the tank? how many watts? whats your nitrate level?

I have a 15W fluorescent bulb, and I'm using Leaf Zone plant food(liquid). I don't have anything that I can use to measure the nitrate level. Hope this helps.

how long do you leave the lights on. i have seen some browning on mine from parts not getting light.

The light is usually on for 12 hours or so.

not enough light, there are a number of DIY refits out there putting in screw in CFLs and yeilding good results.

no you will need to redo the whole light strip, take out the fluorescent bulb, reflector and all other things (wires, ballast) and add regular bulb sockets..
