hot magnum

i have a spare 10 gallon tank and bought a magnum is it okay if i use tha magnum for everyday use? by the way its a hang on canister filter

That filter may be overkill in terms of output flow rate. I run several of these filters and on two tanks I have jury rigged spray bar outs which does somewhat mitigate the flow, I also use them to spot polish a couple of 10s and when I do that the fish are fighting the current, with some having to find the dead spot to rest in. Unless your fush need strong current, the HOT will be too much since it has no flow control.
