hotwater heater question .. Water smells of burnt metal

No worries its like that. I had my old water heater reinstalled and a new one just installed yesterday. It'll be like that for a couple days but eventually it will pass. Like another member said its from the heating and soldering of the copper pipes. What seemed to help was to run the hot water a minute or so before using.

You ought to soak in a bathtub full of that water, and then go out walking around.... When people ask "What's that metallic smell?!" then respond "I am IRON MAN!". That'd be really cool.

thanks for that... It's a few days later and it has gotten better... II guess it'll completely go away in a while.. If it doesn't I'll flush it and see how it goes.
