Have you ever had someone say "people don't talk like that anymore" when you were using lots of big words in talking in a more classical manor? Happens to me all the time.

Yes...BIG time!! I often fall into talking like the do in Pride & Prejudice, Gone with the Wind and such.....I use Queer in the old term-of just strange...like how we now use weird....and I could name a TON more that I use!

Ever had a job that you were really excited to get...and they went through all of the signs of hiring you--from calling your references to having you come in do a half day interview/watch their work...and then they call and say that they have decided on some one else?? (This just happened to my yesterday....I am confused and, a wee bit angered, by it!)

No, I have never had that happen to me. You should call back and ask for the reasons they decided on the other person. It may sound rude, but you will know what employers are avoiding. Weird.

Have you ever applied for a job and the owner told you to go into another field (in a positive way) after the interview?

Not exactly....but I have had a couple say that I was over qualified. :nilly:
