never had one, a good old sponge with wand always works well for me.

Whoever invented the Mag-Float is at the top of my list. However, I must state the obvious since my kids love it too. In fact, all kids seem to be drawn to the magnet. Be very careful not to get a piece of gravel in it when you scrub near the bottom or you will scratch the glass inside your tank something fierce.
