How Big Are Those Bubble Counters!!??!!

Judging from the big al's site, this thing is pretty big. I'm guessing it sits on the outside of the tank, with only the in/out tubes sitting in the tank? So it doesn't take up a lot of room in the tank? Is it quiet? Sorry I'm grilling you, I'm looking for a new filter.

it's not too big... you're right its a HOB (hang-on-back) filter and only has the intake tube going into the aquarium. It it adjustable in size (by adding more tubes) from about 5" to 9". (These are the add-on tubes that are included, more can be purchased seperately if needed). It isn't too loud, but there ARE quieter filters on the market. Keep in mind that most HOB filters are louder than any other type. Many people reccomend getting a Penguin Mini or an internal filter for this size tank, but I was happy with a cheap one (this filter was $14.)

Hope this helps,
Aaron

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I was considering a fluval internal, but it would take up so much room in such a small tank.
