i want something i can breed and i needed some help choosing which ones to pick they have a bunch of mystery snails at petsmart and i was thinking of getting some for my tank to try and breed them no fish in the tank. how do i sex them and do i have to do any thing special to breed them.
can i mix colors or do i have to have one color

so are mystery and apple snails different or are they the same

"mystery" snails are one of over 200 different species of apple snails. Typically what is labeled as "mystery" snail is pomacea bridgesii/diffusa, one type of apple snail.

Pomacea bridgesii/diffusa: Magenta striped and purple striped
i saw these on your sale list in your signature Msjinkzd
how do you breed those are they hard or easy

They're easy to breed if you have a male & a female. The female will lay a clutch of eggs above the waterline. :)

I got my golden apple snail when her shell was about the same size in diameter as a nickel. I have had her for about 3 or 4 months now and she has grown to the size of a golfball! She is a Pomacea bridgesii so this is all the bigger she will get but there are other species that can get up to 6 inches in diameter so choose one according to your tank size. They are easy to breed but be careful because they breed quickly and can easily lay hundreds of eggs in one clutch.

I have a couple that are easily over golfball size as well! and they are my males. i've got some other males but they are still small and haven't started breeding yet (that i have seen anyways).
