If I wanted to put a school of silver dollars, 1 oscar, 2 iridescent sharks, 1 common pleco, 1 Bala shark and maybe a Bichir all in 1 tank What is the MINIMUM TANK SIZE IN GALLONS
-thx

3000 gallons. The iridescent sharks get up to 4 feet in length, they need to be able to turn around in the tank easily so just the depth will need to be 6 feet. Without the iridescent sharks you could keep those fish in a 500 gallon.

The Ohio Fish Rescue has an iridescent shark on display that is about 4 feet in length, what the video doesn't show is that it is also over 1 feet wide. He is the fish on top of the thumbnail, callded Schwartzenegger, a "golden" color morph of the iridescent shark.

For the oscar, SDs, pleco and maybe the bala, a 6ft 125g tank would be minimum.

I wouldn't put a common pleco in anything less than a 180... They get to be 2 feet long (or more) so I wouldn't put them into an aquarium that was only 18" front to back.

Good point on the common pleco. Not only can they exceed the 18" front/back of a 125, then you've got the bio load of a fish that big to deal with. I've seen them kept in 55's and they have to curl up to turn around.
