My SAE's are over 4 years old. They love to just hang out together on leaf surfaces. They play a lot but never hurt each other. I would not say they were territorial at all. In fact they are very rarely apart. The territorial red-tailed black shark, however, loves to chase them.
Although, my fish are in a 180 gallon tank. I have learned that fish behave much differently when they have some space. In fact my single, fully mature Chinese algae eater is not aggressive one bit. When I had him in my 29 gallon, he was a nasty.

I now spread 3 bits of zucchini around the tank so everyone gets their pick. To be fair, my otos have the occasional tussle over the best bit of veggie. Fish will be fish.
