Hey Guys,

I've had my aquarium for like a fortnight and its feeling a bit empty on the bottom. I've got some swordtails, pearl gourami, zebra danios and i ReALLY wanna get a few coolie loaches, i love them!! I have a large rock in the middle with a few tunnels they can live in, apart from that, there's not many plants, its not dense, i mean.

The thing is i heard they're suited for species tank, and some other sources said it would be fine in a community tank...

How would i accomodate the loaches? THanksss!

Kuhlie's will be fine in a community setup. Get at least 3--they are much more active and visible in groups. As long as they have some place to hide, they will be fine. The other fish you have will likely ignore them totall, just make sure the tank is large enough for a few more fish (ie, at least a 29 for what you list).

Some floating plants are nice because it makes them feel secure and dims the lighting. Also bunches of short bushy plants along the bottom make them feel good too. They could be fake.
