Never had success with ziplock bags - they might not see the bag but they see you coming for them.
I'd say your best bet is either to sneak up on them first thing in the morning, or take out as much decor as possible, and reduce water levels down to bare minmums. Also, use two nets, once behind the fish to catch, one in front to guide/chase.
You can also divide the tank with some plastic sheeting trapping the fish in a smaller area.
It sounds obvious but get a really big net - those little ones are almost useless.
