How can I cut acrylic?

Try using a table saw, but cut in reverse...trust me ;)

NEVER USE A TABLE SAW IN REVERSE.

this is one of the number one rules in the shop. material goes in one way. the only reason you would want to put material through a table saw backwards, would be if you were trying to blow a hole through a steel door.

OKay, not "backwards" through the saw, you reverse the blade itself and feed the material in as normal. Sorry I wasn't more clear, I just assumed ... ;)

I build my own tanks and the prefered method of cutting is to use a carbide blade with 40+ teeth and 0 set. This has provided great cuts.
