i know its a dumb question but here goes..... i am too young to work and cant seem to save my pennies fast enough 10.00 bi-monthly isnt good. i tried to get a paper route but for some reason they said they couldnt use me, have any of you had this problem? what are some places i should look for odd jobs?:help2::help2::help2:

yes but with the way its been going its not worth the risk..... the jump doesnt make up for what it has lost in the last 2 months.
 
How old are you exactly? You may not be young enough to work after all. Most retail stores near me won't allow people younger than sixteen to work for them, but not all places are like that. Sometimes places will hire you a few months before you turn the age you need to be to work for them. Also, look at local stores (book stores, coffee shops, etc.) as opposed to chain stores. Mom & pop places can definitely be more flexible with who they hire. You might be able to get a job at a local fish store if that's the kind of thing you're interested in!

Well, if you are looking for extra cash flow to buy fish and supplies, maybe you could volunteer to help do tank maintenance and other things that are time consuming in your lfs , in exchange for the supplies and fish you want?..
 
There are plenty of things you could do, or at least try. How old are you? I started working retail when I was 14, I agree local small stores will be more likely to hire you young. I also baby-sat and did yard work regularly for people starting when I was 12, both paid better (and in cash) than some jobs I had many years later in college!
 
theres a good idea.... but i was saving for something else though i am looking to get a heater and 20 g tank fast for my plecos i cant have them freeze and they have come close trust me
 
hmmm i geuss i could put up a couple flyers advertising odd jobs done cheap and with winter coming my area would be flocking with business.... i live in the country well sorta, and ive actually tried farm work but they often let me go in the winter and i never really made that much more than $2.00 a day
