I have a platy that has been hiding in the grass for a few days now and only comes out to eat. It has a healthy appetite and appears to be healthy. The water is fine and all the other fish are acting normal. Could it be pregnant? How can I tell? Thanks!

Yep, you need to get a breeder net to put them in so they don't get bullied (and even eaten!). However, provide some thick palnts in the tank now so that when they are born they will get a chance to hide before you collect them up.

To save all the babies you have to remove the mother from the tank before she gives birth. After she does, take her from the babies right away. But raising fry can be somewhat of a headache. If your tank has lots of cover I would say to just let her spawn in the tank. The babies will fend for themselves.
