How close is your LFS?

I have 1 that is a block away and 4 that are 30-40 minutes away.
 
I work at mine. I have a brisk 15 min walk to work each morning ( 1 mile )
 
I have a LFS that I would not EVER buy anything from 25 miles away. The next closest one is 50 miles away. The closest Petco or Petsmart is 50-60 miles away. Basically, my closest LFS is just a click away, because I have to order online.
 
As far as LFS there are 2 great ones in a town 30 miles away. But if I want anything from petsmart it is 40 miles in the other direction. I like to buy as many things as possible from the LFS's and they are usually cheaper than petsmart, but if they don't have what I need it is a long drive to get to petsmart.
 
Sounds like some of you are very lucky to have a LFS close. When I was active in the hobby ten years ago, mine was great and only 15 minutes away. Then I retired and moved to a rural spot. Getting started again is a challenge. Nearest is a Petsmart at 40 miles and a truly LFS is closer to 50 (and poorly stocked for freshwater) I'm really thankful for the internet, but frustrated by the time some shipping requires.
 
Yeah shipping can get ya. I have bought some materials and such online but I can't justify $30 shipping for a few $2 fish.
 
closest one to me is abou an hour away, but luckily for me the walmarts around here are pretty good about keeping their fish happy and healthy so i usually go there for most of my fish which its only 15 minutes away
 
I have one five minutes from my house but all the good people quit and the new people are idiots (Word of advice to people who work in fish stores, know the difference between activated carbon and fish food. And don't tell a customer that the $50 worth of fish she is about to buy look gross). There are others close by but I drive to the good one that's a hour away from my house or I order online.
