How did you find AC

the book!

I bought a book called The Simple Guide to Freshwater Aquariums. In the back was a list of websites and the author, David Boruchowitz, listed AC. I'm really glad he included it!

Oh and the book is really great for beginners!
the book! Last Christmas, in the toe of my stocking, I found a very generous PetSmart card. I'd always wanted an aquarium. Another gift, under the tree, was the same book you mention. I read that book cover to cover at least three times before I got started. So easy to read. So informative. I've reccomended it here before, and do so again!

Oh! to get back on topic. "The book" did not have all the information I needed. I started searching on-line and stumbled across this site. I'm not a "joiner" by nature, but am very happy to be a part of this.

i had been given a betta as a gift about 3 months prior to finding AC, got bit by the betta bug hard and fast and soon had two, then three bettas, within those 3 months. i was doing the google thing, researching how to care for my lil Fyshee and Nemo (hey, my kidlett named him! lol) and Mosie, and in a link clicking spree i found my home here. i lurked for a bit, then joined, and am very happy that i did!

coincidentally, AC helped me (in a roundabout google induced way) find my local forum, as i was wanting to connect with other fishkeepers closer to home. thank you AC!!!!

I was Googling a few things, and a link was on there which had the question i was looking for the answer to. I clicked it - great decision :D

I was googling for some info. This site came up a couple of times in the search and after scanning it for several days I decided to join. I needed a site that would talk in plain English and not use all scientific naming and such.

This was before the latest surgery and my comprehension wasn't much better than a 12yo. This site has been a vital part of my recovery as it expands my interest and knowledge. It's become sort of like my favorite hang-out and helps me to stay connected to society and the real world.

Having to research much information has helped me to regain some lost skill sets that I never expected to get back.

I was googling for info, since I had stocked a 10g tank without cycling first. Ended up losing the guppies, but nearly 4 years later, still have one of the original fish. (neon tetra)

Wow.. I got here through google too. I'd just bought a second-hand bowfront and realized the center brace was cracked. So I used google trying to figure out who the manufacturer was. Came across an older post where someone else described the same problem with the exact same tank as mine. So I registered to post a followup question about it in that old thread. It's such a great site with so many knowledgeable and helpful people... I never left.

As so many have said already... i googled for some info, and AC was listed every time! I browsed through for several days, and was happy to see that people actually answered questions, instead of "...if you would've searched the forum, you'd have found the answer listed here: showthread?" etc...
I've always disliked those posts. Glad to not see it here! :)
