How did you meet your spouse?

LOL Nursie! - I met my hubby at a bar too, on Friday the 13th even! ...and not a nice bar... an extremely dumpy bar full of scary, bearded bikers and very trampy, scantily dressed women! :eek:

BUT, let me clarify.... I went there because my friend invited me to go watch her friend play in a (crappy) band at that bar that night. Well, my friend's boyfriend brought HIS friend (my future hubby) that night too!

Several shots of tequila and jager later.... and WA LA! I'm a married woman! :laugh:

This coming October will be 10 years we've been together, married for 6, 2 crazy kids, and accumulating pets as we go!

Well I'm not married... but I am in a relationship (almost 3 years now) and we met at work!.. neither one of us work there anymore though... its an awful place :)
I was actually interested in another guy, and Brad (current bf) sorta appeared out of nowhere, and asked me out. Which worked out for the best :)
 
The very first time we met I think I better not tell of, since only a few of my church members aren't freaked out by the story. Angels, time warp and visions....

Any way the first time we met face to face was in college. Her parents had just moved from southern california to michigan. Not wanting to deal with the cold she went to the church college in tennesee. I had failed to graduate with my hs class and was going to finish when 4 weeks from the start of classes at college they worked out a way for me to go anyway.

The first class that first day and every day after we had together that semester. By the end of febuary people were assumeing we were already married, and just over 5 years later we did get married. We have been married 3 years last july.
 
My husband and I met at work. He was (and still is) a tool and die maker...I was the setup/operator on the machines that held the dies he worked on. The lady I worked with was interested in him and included me in on her "games" with him...well....lol....we dated...moved in and got married...... 18 years ago come October 3rd. (though if I had to do it again...I would NOT live with him before getting married...that's a dumb idea!) :rolleyes: oO(I can see a hijack coming here)

We have 3 neat kids ages 9....13....and 16 and doing well... :D
 
Emg..I agree with you about not livin together before you get married. Haakon and I didn't..I like it like that:D

Yeah, I was in a different place at the time.....if I knew then what I know now...it never would have happened ! ....ah, but, I'm not much for dwelling in the past....can't change it....not worth bothering about.....
 
I lived with my guy for three years before we got married - and I wouldn't change that. The only thing I maybe would have changed is getting married 3 years earlier! (I couldn't, mostly because I'd have gotten screwed financially in terms of aid for college.) I think a lot of people get some nasty surprises by not really knowing what it will be like to live with someone for eternity. Take for instance my friend. She was wildly in love with a guy she was seeing for 2.5 years. At the start of the summer, they moved into an appartment together, with the notion that they'd continue living together. That lasted about 2.5 months before they realized that they absolutely couldn't stand living together under any circumstances. *Shrug*
 
My wife and I met at the Betty Ford Clinic....just think, if she wasn't on crack, and i was sober..we would have never met...funny how things work out...
