How do I attach my python to a bath tub faucet?

I just moved, and the nearest faucet is on the bathtub, if I want to use another tap I need to get a longer python. I have read about people using their bathtub to carry out their water changes, but how do you get the python attached to the faucet?

I am moving my 55G tonight, and would prefer not to fill it with 3G buckets.

Thanks.

You have to remove the shower head and attach it there. That'd be easier than removing the tub faucet.

Isn't there a sink in the bathroom? You can attach it to the sink faucet

There is a sink, but there is no thread on the faucet on the sink to attach the python onto. The shower sounds like the best idea so far, will give it a proper look when I get home today, hopefully moving the 55G goes as smoothly as moving the 29G did yesterday (just have to catch a few more fish this time).

If you use the shower I would get some extra hose and have the discharge down by the drain - if you left it up high it sure could get messy.

if there is no thread, but a spigot, there is a hose-type attachment you can pick up for a few bucks thats made for things like that :)

shower definitely, just remember to keep it on cold, I have a friend whose tank got destroyed by a hot water accident

I bet you could get some hose, maybe 1.5" ID, that would stretch over the tub faucet, esp if you got it a little warm first, then just use a few fittings to adapt it to the python?
