If you get in the habit of flushing your python out with hot water before and after use, it will remain clear and unstained. That means you hook it up to the paython valve and turn the water to hot and run hot water through the hose until it hot coming out the end for 10 seconds after it hot, then turn the python to suction mode and switch to cold water sucking all the hot water out of the hose. Now the hot and mostly dry inside hose is ready for storage or ready for use. Once an old hose is stained with fungi you need to take a plastic $1 funnel and with the hose dry pour in a 1/3 cup of pure bleach and let it work it way back and forth through the hose end to end, and then just let the hose lay in the tube, tomorrow all staining will be gone. Then just remember to to the hot water rise out and evacuate all water when not in use.
