How do I get rid of Dropsy?

I used Baktopur, which is a strong gram neg/gram positive anti-bacterial medication and epsom salt. It didn't help, or even slow the fish's demise. I know it's hard to let them go, but if it has dropsy and is already pineconed, there is a very high probability that you won't save it. If you do try to treat it, I would use Maracyn or Kanacyn (if you can get your hands on it).

He isn't pineconed, and his eyes don't look as bad as they did yesterday. They are still bulging but not as bad,

Is it even bloated? If not, it has pop eye and not dropsy (and the probability that it lives is much higher) and my suggestions are completely different. Treat with a good antibiotic (I like maracyn I or II) and keep the water extra clean. I would also Q the fish if possible.

I just got back from the store. I put him in a 1 gallon hex tank with a teaspoon of Epsom Salt and a little less than 1/4th of a tab of Maracyn 2. I have a heating pad on under the tank to keep it at about 80 degrees and an airstone in the tank to keep the oxygen up. Right now he is lying on his side on the bottom. I do believe it is dropsy, but I still want to see if he can recover.

He's upright!!! He is holding himself upright and he seems more alert! We're moving in the right direction!!
