how do I sanitize my nets, etc

When I feed live food (or at some point I'll have to remove a dead fish), how do you sanitize the net? What else should get sanitized? Thank you.

when i remove a dead fish with my net, i dont do anything.... i just put it back behind the tank

i use jungle brand net soak
or my lfs uses a hot plate to heat water at a simmer all day and keeps all the nets in there,.. either will work

the net soak is safe to take net out shake excess of and put right into the tank, i also use is to dip new plants i get in it then rinse off ,..

ive always just rinsed my net of under the sink with hot water and shake it off

Or just keep 1 net per tank, as for food, I just thaw a portion out in a measuring cup (thats just used for feeding my fish) and use my fingers to portion out their food.

I do some aquatic sampling for work; we use a 1:1 solution of Chlorox and water to disinfect equipment between sites. Soak the net in the bleach solution for a minute or two, then allow to air dry. The bleach will evaporate out. You don't need much solution; just mix a little in a plastic baggie big enough to hold the net.
