I recently purchased a Canon EOS400d and stand.

I'm just wondering what other equipment is used by you all to create your pics.

Do you change the lighting at all?

A lot of the pictures look superb and i really would like to get the most out of my camera.

Thanks for any help in advance.:)

hi
i just got digital camera
started taking pics found i had to speed the shutter speed up
to stop getting blaired photos
its just keep trying im up to about 90 pics to get 5 / 6 good ones but no film for me to get

I'll agree with that.Ive taken about about 200 pics and about 25 are not too bad.

this was taken with a 400D also.

i just used the fish tank lighting and kitchen lighting. of course you should not use a flash.

get as close as your lens will let you with still being able to autofocus.
put your camera on a higher ISO such as 800 even 1600 if necessary
use the Servo focusing
and then put the camera on atleast 1/40-1/50 shutter speed if your fish are active.
also put the autofocus to focus on objects in the middle and center light evaluating to help expose the fish properly

this pic a tad underexposed but you get the point. it took about 50+ pics just to get 10 good ones. need to have patience since fish are active little buggers

on average, i get 1 good pic out of 85 or so...

The stand helps tremendously as does a darkened room, tank lights and or additional flash above the tank.
