I had an aquarium when I was a kid and to clean the tank I would pull all of the fake plants and accessories out before I siphoned the substrate. How do you clean an aquarium when you have live plants? Especially ones that cover the entire bottom like Glossostigma?

i don't know but i got the same question. someone helppp

just gravel vac around the plants, you dont have to worry about getting under the roots because the plants use the poo for food

What rocker said.

You really dont even need to get any of the waste on the bottom, just siphon out the water and you should be okay. But it couldn't hurt to get some of the mulm.

So if you had an aquarium that looked like this, then you would not have to gravel vac?

Yes, you would not. But in reality, you could not.

I never gravel vac any of my planted tanks.
