How do you clean drift wood

In my backyard there is a river and i went down there yesterday and i found a cool piece of driftwood. I was just wondering what i should do to clean it??
 
boil it. If its too big then bake it. :thm: (i just learned that last one)
 
I would be scared to use anything that Ive found in the wild in my aquarium, it could have been contaminated or something, and then might leech things into the water.

Many people use it without ill effects. Where do you think your LFS gets them ;)

Just boil it.. It should be fine, as long as its driftwood and not a broken bamboo stick or sumthing :duh:
